Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League after a 0-0 draw with rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford. After a mediocre first half, United went close to opening the scoring as Chris Smalling's header dropped just wide of Joe Hart's post.
There were people here who had travelled from New York, some more from India, to see a special, important match. A long way to come for this show, that. To be fair, a bus ride from Salford was barely worth the fare.
